How to Get the Most Out of Your YouTube Comments

YouTube comments can be a critical component of any online video strategy. When done right, they can boost video visibility and build brand awareness. But, like Facebook discussions or Twitter tweets, commenting can also quickly veer off topic and become nasty.

One of the keys to effective YouTube commenting is personalization. Successful commenters go beyond simple reactions and compliments and strive to add value to the conversation. For example, they may offer helpful advice or share a personal story about their experience watching the video.

When choosing keywords to target in your videos, choose ones that are relevant to your audience and that have a high search volume. You can use a variety of tools to find suitable keywords, such as Google Keyword Planner, YouTube Autocomplete and TubeBuddy. However, you must be sure that the keywords are natural and that they make sense within the context of the video and discussion.

If you’re not satisfied with a comment, you can report it to YouTube by clicking the three horizontal dots at the end of the line with the Thumbs Up and Down buttons, or the resulting Report option (which has a flag beside it). YouTube will investigate the issue and take appropriate action if necessary.

In addition to reporting bad behavior, you can also use the Report feature to alert YouTube of any issues with your channel or content, such as phishing attempts or inappropriate statements. You can even use this tool to ask YouTube to review certain types of videos for possible violations of the platform’s community guidelines, such as spam or offensive language. YouTube comments
